How do you use this lame app.

The 8100 will not connect to the app. The 8100 and the app and ios are all up to date. Im already tech savvy, I spent "Time" trying to resolve it, bottom line: It does not work!! Not via Bluetooth not via USB. Someone needs to be fired/replaced at pioneer

Trying to get my iPhone 6s Plus (iOS 9.3.1) to associate with the head unit for AvicSync to work is a couple hours of my life that Ill never get back. All other functions of the Nex8000 head unit work correctly including CarPlay over usb and Bluetooth phone. My head unit is running firmware vs 1.11 and I also updated my Bluetooth firmware to vs 3.41.11 The head unit will not "recognize" the iPhone to associate it, via usb or Bluetooth regardless of whether CarPlay is disabled. If I had to guess, Id hypothesize that its something to do with the iOS 9.3.x version as other folks have reported success over usb once they follow the rather consulted instructions. Meh.
