It doesnt work! Cant get passed the first screen

Even though my unit (NEX AVIC5000) is paired with my iphone6s by Bluetooth and all other Bluetooth functions work, app is not communicating with the unit or vice versa. So its useless. Even tried to connect by USB, nothing. Why was this app and firmware update even released?

Took awhile to figure out but once I got it synced with my NEX8000 it pulls in online traffic information, weather, and parking info. The ability to search for places not built into the Nav is great too. The reason its not 5 stars is because initial setup we a hassle with having to update the firmware on the Nav first and no real instructions to connect the two. Also the prices for some of the features are high. Some of here things I think should just be included on the cost of the NEX8000 alone. It DOES however work!

The app works with my 8100NEX. Have to admit it took awhile to set up. Map updates and firmware are extremely slow. All online services work nice and seem to be extremely accurate. Still not sure if the maps sync between receiver and phone for the latest map or if I still have to download online then update through usb/head unit. I think the bad ratings is because Pioneer and its partners failed to detail out instructions on how to use and install accurately. This is a great product and the feasibility for up to the minute updates on traffic and online search is priceless. The attention to detail and help to customers is really lacking and I can see why consumers who have purchased your products sold on this feature are upset. Pioneer should step up and prioritize taking care of its loyal customers.

It took a while to get my 8100nex and my iPhone 6 to get setup correctly. But after successful connection it works great. I wish the IGO app on the iPhone would look and work more like IGO Primo, but Pioneer made the decision to approximate it closer to the AVIC interface. One important improvement is needed: Add an option to import and export user waypoints and export trip data and tracks. Add map date synchronization between the AVIC and the AVICSYNC maps. Right now the map on my AVIC 8100 NEX is more recent that the just installed AVICSINC map.

For all those complaining that you cant get past the share data permission screen, you need to go to display settings and change from zoomed to standard.

I have a new 8100NEX, which I would really enjoy using the features that this app can provide but no matter which way (bluetooth, USB) my iPhone will not connect. (Yes Ive pressed the puzzle piece.) love my pioneer but a lot of money is getting lost not having a simple app fixed because I know a lot of people who would purchase add-ons. For the price of this unit + cost for install and extra wiring, PLEASE FIX YOUR APP SYSTEM.

With the app not working, a key value of the system is unable.

Wont even open

Pioneer team for FINALLY delivering a functioning and compatible iOS app. But only 2 for reactive, indifferent attitude. Confidence and trust in Pioneer iOS dev team severely compromised.

January 2016 update...still no go... Like many others, I have had no success getting the app to connect (pair) with the pioneer system. Neither USB or Bluetooth will work. I took it back to the installer and they had never even dealt with the app. Pretty frustrating to spend $$$ and have a system not do what I was told it would. Please update the app and make it compatible with system. If that happens I will update my review. Until then, I cannot recommend a Pioneer AVIC unit if you plan on using your phone with it using this application.

Wondering why they would even release this to the app store. It doesnt come close to associating with my Pioneer head unit.

With my pioneers new firmware I am finally able to sync this with my stereo, but it would be amazing if you guys added Background App Refresh support for iOS, so I dont have to keep opening up the app to sync. I dont download the maps to my phone since my deck has navigation, but weather and gas prices seem to work okay. For those who cant make it work, go to pioneers website and check for a firmware update for your deck.

This application does nothing I cant get it to work I have spent 45 minutes now trying all of the different ways it says it will work and no work

So...I waited close to a year for this app to finally be re-released to allow me to use my 8100NEX as described on the box and guess what? I still cant because this app so poorly produced. On trying to enter an address in the app the keyboard is all grayed out so therefore it is impossible. So plan B was to use the address from contact option...this doesnt work either, the message "no usable address in contact" is complete nonsense. Get your act together Pioneer, youre supposed to be renowned for producing world-class car audio systems and this app is a disgrace. It lets down your head unit and it lets down your brand. For customers to wait close to a year for this app to be released and then for it to be in this state is completely acceptable. Dont bother downloading this app until a legit update is available people.

This has got to be a joke...Or is it? Pioneer really dropped the ball on this... What a huge waste of everyones time..Thanks for nothing, Pioneer!

Let my waste of time save yours

Finally got it to associate with 6100 NEX after upgrade decks firmware to v1.05 AND using USB...no Bluetooth. I suspect since iPhone does not support SPP (Serial Port Profile) via Bluetooth is why its no Bueno via Bluetooth. Just wish Pioneers documentation was better vs all the trial and error

Needlessly complicated and doesnt ultimately work. The interface is very promising - please get this to work.
