Works great with the latest firmware 1.05 on my AVIC 8100NEX.

Greatest idea ever.if it only worked and because it doesnt I feel like Im not getting the best experience out of my $1000 radio. I already cant use the back up camera and pioneer refused to do anything about it. So Im really disappointed with this unit and this app... Pathetic.

I used to use a Garmin Nuvi 3597 and used an app called Smart Link...That was fantastic. Voice search and all Friendly user interface (UI) Take a look you developers and learn from it

For all those complaining that you cant get past the share data permission screen, you need to go to display settings and change from zoomed to standard. Now that Im past the permission screen I cant get it to sync with my 8100NEX. I even updated the firmware, still nothing.

Paid top dollar for head unit wanted to update the maps for the gps had to download this app to download the map update to upload to my head unit. Avicsync keeps disconnecting from head unit after about five or 10 minutes and the map upload takes several hours what pain in the butt. Buy a different head unit other than pioneer!

I dont know what to say. Its a terrible app that doesnt work. It syncs every once in a while, but doesnt do anything its supposed to. Fix it please.

Doesnt connect, doesnt pick up my phone, merely an app that takes up room! Shame on you Pioneer!

Cant get past the privacy agreement page due to horrible interface design and layout management

Waited months for this to get my NEX5100 to receive traffic information. When you open it, it gets stuck on the page about sharing data. The firmware download for the NEX is bogged down too. Pioneer just cant get it right.

Need to change the language? Just read the AVICSYNC Operation Manual and change it. Except — there’s no such thing as the AVICSYNC Operation Manual to be found.

When you click on a contact for an address it always says no usable address found. Apple maps seems to alway work tith the addresses in my contact list. Pioneer should not release a product that does not work 100%

Can not click past anonymous data usage, so having the app is pointless, please update app

Its borked. Did anyone at Pioneer even try to install this app before releasing it? Just fix it so I can use Waze.

After a long wait: I loaded the app on my iPhone 6 Plus: it locked up on the first screen. It would not let me answer the Yes/No question about sharing data.

We should all ask for a refund on our pioneer stereos.

I can get past the initial set up, but nothing seems to work. UI is not layout out ideally

Does not work. When the app is opened the screen locks on the next screen about collecting information. Thats it. No further. I cant imagine the team that built this didnt run into this problem. Hope they fix it yet Ive been waiting for months.

I have an AVIC7000NEX and the online services worked perfectly. Here’s the reason for the two stars. The UI on the app is not intuitive at all. It’s hard to get past some prompts and some don’t even seem to work. It was very frustrating initially. Since I have navigation on my head unit, I looked forward to the online services, so I cannot comment on the navigation, use of contacts, etc. The app simply did not work, so I had to do everything via my head unit. On my unit there’s a puzzle-looking icon on the top right. This is a must I realized before anything works. Tap this to “associate” a phone. Then, and only then, will stuff start to work. Mostly via the head unit and not the app as mentioned earlier. I activated the online services successfully, (I got one year for free), and they work perfectly.
